Photo Hunt – Half

Written by author on May 16, 2010 – 10:49 pm -

I have been very busy for quite sometime and was not able to join this meme.

Hope you can visit me sometime.

They look really cute.  We really wanted to take them with us but we decided to throw them back to the sea so they can still grow more but the people from the other boat still get them.

Caramoan, Cam. Sur – Getting There!

Written by author on May 15, 2010 – 5:06 pm -

Last May 1-3, 2010 we got the chance to visit the majestic island of Caramoan. Everything is really beautiful and worth remembering. I have been trying to blog about it but works get into my way.  So, i would start on how to get there.

If your coming from Manila and you have the option to take a plane or bus.

From plane;

Manila Airport – Pili Airport – around 45 minutes (prices of tickets may vary)

Pili Airport – Sabang Port – around 45 minutes from a private van or you can rent a taxi (but i still don’t know how much thus it cost)

From Bus:

Pasay or Cubao Station  to Naga City Рprices of tickets may also vary.

Or you can also come from Legaspi City but it was a long ride from there.

Sabang Port РGuijalo Port ( boat ride) around 2 hours   РPrice is Php. 110.00

Boats can accomodate more than 50 people and more than 80 i think if it is bigger one.

Two hours of seating on the boat can really be painfull in your buttocks but you can enjoy beautiful scenery and maybe a chat with your friends can pass  time.
From Guijalo Port, you can find jeepney from there.¬† We were on a package that’s why we did not pay individually for the jeepney ride and i am so busy chatting and looking at the place that i forgot to ask the driver how much is the fare.
It’s another 1 hour to Paniman Island where our inn is located.¬† Don’t worry, there are roads that are not as bumpy as this but if you have not experience riding on a jeep going up and down the mountain, then you must be prepared yourself for this ride.
Paniman Island is the entry point for all island hopping. So, i highly recommended that you stay on this resort/inn .  I will be making a separate post for this place too.

Breeze and Waves is the right place for your Caramoan Adventure, they offer the best service, amenities and friendly staff and not to forget a very accomodating tour guide and now your ADVENTURE begin!

Can’t wait to see Caramoan? Watch out for the next post!

Stay healthy this summer

Written by author on April 18, 2010 – 1:38 am -

Summer is a lot of fun,  no classes for kids, a vacation time for the whole family  and a lot of fun in the sun doing outdoor activities like biking, jogging, swimming and going picnic on a nearby park.

Summer is also a great time to make those most awaited vacation , national or even international vacation. Most of us also love to go to the beach or in a nearby swimming pool.

But yet summer is a time of year that we also have a greater chance to get sick, so you must take extra care of your health. Aside from eating the right foods (fruits and vegetables)

we must also drink more than 8 glasses of water a ¬†day to avoid dehydration and of course to beat the heat of El Ni√Īo.

One of common virus of summer is parainfluenza virus 3, this virus can cause croup, bronchiolitis, pneumonia or just a cold. Make sure to clean your body everyday, taking a bath and wash your hands thoroughly.

Food poisoning or food borne illnesses is also a high risk this summer because bacteria can multiply faster and foods can easily lose their freshness. Be extra careful when dining out.  (make sure you eat on a place that offers fresh and clean foods)

Heat rash and sunburns  are also a common problems of children and adult a like, make sure not to stay on the sun between 10 A.M to 3: P.M. (the sun is much hotter at this period and can even cause skin cancer and many irritations to your skin)

If you cannot avoid the sun, make sure to use protection (lotion with Spf) especially for your little ones because their skin is still very gentle.

Use sunglasses with UV protection to protect your eyes from the harmful ultraviolet rays.

If your preparing for an international  trip or vacations, be sure to plan ahead and consult your doctor before making that trip. Get a vaccine or immunization and other health precautions.  If you have a health problems, carry with you a letter from your doctor regarding your sickness, conditions, medications.  Make sure you bring along with you a sufficient amount of your medicines because you might not find it everywhere.

If you can bring with you a first aide kit such as pain relievers, antibacterial ointments, anti diarrhea ,  insect bites or burn ointment then much better.

If you have asthma, limit your time outdoors and don’t forget your inhaler. ¬†I always carry along with me my medicine (because I really could not tell the next attack)

Wear appropriate and comfortable shoes.  Yes, flip flops are in (if your walking in the beach) but a good rubber shoes is much comfty for walking and for trekking.

Take a rest too, Don’t push yourself to the limits. ¬†Summer is a great time to rest, read a book or enjoy your day with your family.

Enjoy your Summer Days

Most Expensive Lunch at Regent Hotel, Naga City

Written by author on April 16, 2010 – 2:25 am -

Ooh, sorry but I don’t have the actual picture but the memory of ¬†that day was still very vivid in my mind.

Hubby and I have something in common and that is “we do love eating” and dining out was one of our favorite things to do. ¬†I do remember that our most expensive lunch is when we eat at Oyster Villa, Regent Hotel last Christmas Day of 2008. ¬†We ordered a battered lobster which cost Php. 350 per piece , a minimum of four pieces. ¬†We also ordered a crispy pata , i think more or less Php. 500.00 plus.

Sinigang na ulo ng isda (which is Hubby’s favorite dish) ¬†at around Php. 260.00

I ordered a mango parfait and buko pandan and hubby ordered San mig light.

and our bill reach more than 2K.  (LOL)  Expensive but totally mouth watering experience and I thought I could not stand up on my seat because of a heavy stomach!!!!!

For more expensive lunch hop to
